Car recycling compensation is a topic that is faced by more and more residents today, who are abandoning their old car and planning to take advantage of state support by purchasing a less polluting vehicle. Other waste management issues are also relevant for companies – for example, certificates confirming the disposal of metal packaging, which are required for settlements or annual reports. If you are looking for a reliable partner who would take care of not only the acceptance of waste, but also all the necessary documents – Metruna is ready to help!
Required for vehicle deregistration and compensation when disposing of an old car and purchasing a more sustainable vehicle.
Required for manufacturers, importers and GPAIS reports.
Car recycling compensation – is it relevant? In order to receive state compensation of 1000 EUR for the destruction of an polluting car, the most important thing is to do it legally and with documentation.
First of all, after the transfer of the vehicle, the car recycling must be carried out by a company that has the right to issue an ENTP certificate. This document is required for the deregistration of the vehicle from the Lithuanian Road Vehicle Register. Only when the recycled vehicle is deregistered and a less polluting car is purchased, can an application for compensation be submitted. By the way, the owner of the old and newly purchased car must be the same natural person. An application for a lump sum payment is submitted through the APVIS system.
In Lithuania, if you plan to dispose of your vehicle with compensation, deregistration of the vehicle with an ENTP certificate is the first prerequisite for receiving support. The ENTP certificate must be submitted to the State Enterprise Regitra in order to officially deregister the disposed vehicle. You can do this in two ways: by visiting the Regitra branch nearest to you or online via the Registra self-service.
According to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management, manufacturers and importers must: keep records of packaging, ensure its proper management, and submit reports through the GPAIS system. The only way to substantiate this is to have a packaging management certificate issued by a metal purchasing company.
These certificates confirm that a specific amount of packaging waste has been managed legally and responsibly. They help companies avoid pollution taxes, prove that the requirements are being met, and at the same time – avoid fines or legal liability for non-compliance with them. If a company does not have such documents, it faces sanctions for non-compliance with environmental requirements.
Metruna not only accepts metal waste and metal packaging, but also issues all necessary documents related to the handling of metal packaging.
A metal packaging management certificate is required for anyone who manufactures, supplies or imports packaging and submits annual reports through the GPAIS system. It is required if your business belongs to one of the following groups:
Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian cities where our branches are located.
Many years of experience in the field of metal purchasing.
From receiving a request to implementing services.
Certified and reliable quality management system.
These documents are prepared immediately after the vehicle is disposed of or the metal waste is delivered to one of our departments.
In order to qualify for state support for the purchase of a less polluting vehicle, the vehicle must first be disposed of – the vehicle must be destroyed and deregistered. The old car must be of class M1, owned by the applicant for at least 12 months by 2023-06-01 and have a valid vehicle registration certificate until 2023-11-18. It is also necessary that both the old and new car be driven by the same natural person.
Car disposal compensation – interested, but planning to purchase a new car through leasing? Compensation is also valid in this case. The most important condition is that you are registered as the owner of both vehicles.
Even if you do not intend to claim state compensation for purchasing a less polluting car, you will need this document when disposing of your old car. Disposal of cars must be documented with an ENTP certificate in all cases, as only with this document can the vehicle be deregistered.
How much does car disposal cost? This is a common question, the answer to which depends on whether you deliver the car yourself or whether the service includes transportation. If you intend to deliver the vehicle to our collection points (there are 30 cities of them throughout Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) yourself, you can find the price list on the page of each city (a map of all branches is available at this link). If Car disposal is required when the vehicle is picked up from your location, the price can be determined individually.
No, no additional documents are required when declaring income from scrap metal. All information about the taxation of scrap metal sales is transmitted directly to the State Tax Inspectorate. Personal income tax is automatically calculated and deducted at the time of scrap metal delivery, and this information is reflected in the annual income declaration, therefore additional declaration of scrap metal sales is not required.
Metal packaging certificates are usually required by companies whose activities generate the following waste:
These packages are considered waste when they can no longer be reused, and companies must record their quantity in the GPAIS system and have a certificate that they have been properly disposed of.
Metruna is a metal scrapyard specializing in accepting ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.
